4wildberrys
Has anyone used these? I'm pretty sure they are the Red Wagon Tutorial DVDs. It sounds like they have a lot of goodies on them---syllabus, lectures, class notes, alternate tests, lab reports...wow! http://www.apologia.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=
Susan C.
Wow, finally!! I've suggested it several times at homeschool fairs. We use Virtual Homeschool Group now, though.
4wildberrys
Oh my gosh---I just watched a sample at the Red Wagon site---the teacher is 'memorable'! He has a laugh my kids are bound not to forget---and his teaching is very engaging. I think I've found a great way to do Apologia with ds for sure---and Biology hopefully with dd next year. Brindee
Do you have a link to the Red Wagon site? I've never heard of it! Thanks! But they don't have Chemistry! :( I would LOVE to have one of those on Chemistry! Wonder if they'll be doing it too???

Here ya go: http://www.redwagontutorials.com/ The Red Wagon site has Chemistry---I am assuming what Apologia sells and what Red Wagon sells are the same thing. Teachin'Mine
These sound great! I'm wondering if they're the same thing though. Apologia lists their lectures as 60 to 90 minutes long, and Red Wagon says 60 to 80. I know it's a small difference, but also Chemistry being available on one and not on the other ... I'm just wondering.

Gretchen in NO. CA
These DVD's look great! Maybe just what we need to help jumpstart science. How does the Red Wagon DVD's compare with the DIVE into Science DVD's? I know that you can use the DIVE with different Biology books where the Red Wagon is just for Apologia. DIVE is also a lot cheaper. Has anyone compared the two? With 6 kids coming up through the ranks, DVD classes are more economical than online classes. TIA, Gretchen

Yay, thanks! :001_smile: So, is the Chem. DVD course considered Honors Chemistry?
Laurie in CA
I used the DIVE biology at the beginning of the year with Bob Jones and really hated it. We switched at semester time to Apologia and are much happier.
Gretchen in NO. CA
Lori, When you switched to Apologia, did you still use the DIVE DVD or did you use the Red Wagon one? Thanks, Gretchen
KinderSafari
Interested in the answers to this.... These sound like a GREAT extra addition to an already great program.
Laurie in CA
We quit using the DIVE and just use the Apologia text, skipping the chapters we covered in Bob Jones. I did not like the DIVE at all and it was confusing to use.
Gretchen in NO. CA
Thanks Laurie for the clarification. (Sorry for misspelling your name!:tongue_smilie:) I plan to order the Apologia/Red Wagon Biology DVD today. Hope it will help science go better for the rest of the year!:001_smile: Gretchen in No. CA
