Handwriting: Abeka Penmanship Grammar: English for the Thoughtful Child Spelling: Successful Spelling 1 Writing: Dictation and letters to pen-friends History: SOTW 1 with MOH 1 as 'family spine'. Science: Life Science ala WTM first edition. Currently, Nature Encyclopedia, reading about animals, creature observation sheet. We have a locust and a caterpillar on our kitchen bench at the moment. :D Art: Abeka Art Projects Music: Piano and Violin. Singing together, parts, harmony etc. Memory Work: Scripture and poems. OM2--phonics, copywork, composition, science, social awareness, read alouds (Fables & animal stories) Singapore Math & Rod and Staff Math--the first is our main program and the second is for review. Lapbooks--currently we are in the middle of a rabbit trail about Ancient Egypt. We've done all the lapbooks, read the folk tales, made projects, watched documentaries & movies and now we are going to start learning about the pharaohs and more about hieroglyphics. LA & Reading - CLE 200 Might start MC 2+, but not sure... Bible/History - Biblioplan Middle Ages with MOH (&SOTW audio's for him) and lots of reading. Science - God's Design for Life with brother Will tag along on English From the Roots Up & Getting Started With Latin... And, lots of reading - the Pathway Readers are his favorite. Science Odyssey, both Earth Science courses. We also have Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding if he wants to work through that on his own. He LOOOOVES science. Art: Complete-A-Sketch Vision-Dexterity-Focus and/or Artistic Pursuits Music: Piano theory and lessons at home Logic: Logic Safari Language: Le Francais Facile Junior and probably Lively Latin (Edited to add that doing two languages is his idea, not mine!)
