Combining MUS and Singapore

Recommended Posts

I recently started giving Singapore 1B workbook to my first grader. She is about a third of the way through Beta and finds it very easy.

We just sort of do both right now. She seems to understand everything in Singapore 1B, so we just do it on the side "for fun," kinda like you would do a maze. She does it here and there, we skip around, whatever. We go through MUS more systematically.

I'm glad I'm supplementing with her, because she watches the MUS lesson and immediately gets it at the first worksheet. She went through the Alpha book in less than three months. Yet I don't want to switch -- yet. For one thing, I like MUS myself, and for another, her sister is in MUS as well, and I"m trying to keep things simple if possible.
