Kathie in VA
We are working on CW Creia now (w/ 9th and 8th graders) and have been planning on going to Herodotus next... with the logic and literature selections. I'm just wondering if anyone else is sticking to it in these upper levels.
Jackie in AR
My rising 10th graders will work through Herodotus here at home next year (unless I change my mind and put them in Kathy's class again). They took the Maxim/Chreia class last year (as 8th graders) and we took a breather from CW this year. They're finishing up TL I, and will work through TL II next year. We'll also include some of the Herodotus lit as part of our Great Books study next year. I corresponded with Carolyn Vance this morning and she indicated they hope to have the final version of Herodotus out in early summer. Kathie in VA
Good to hear we are not alone. I'm also thinking of having my kids (rising 9th and 10th graders) do Herodotus at home. I'm also trying to decide what to do with history since we will be doing so much literature with Herodotus... I'm not sure we will have time to literature with history as well. Mary in GA
Kathie, if she doesn't answer here, try the K-8 board, Heather in VA has a dd doing Herodotus on line. She answered some of my questions about Herodotus a day or so ago. Mary
