Does this science exist?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for science next year for my 7th and 10 graders.

We want something with lots of fun experiements, however with mainly household items, we don't have a microscope so the ones involving that we'd just look online.

Something for non-sciency people, easy to understand, fun, inexpensive, open and go, and like I said hands on.

Is Apologia what I am looking for?

So I'm looking for a 7th grade level and highschool biology.

I am also considering ACE, Lifepacs, and BJU. We have used Abeka in the past and want something else.

Apologia keeps coming to mind, yet I've heard it's very advanced

We're using Apologia Physical Science, and this is the first year my daughter has enjoyed science. :) The experiments involve mostly household items - very doable. I wish I had known about these books years ago! We're planning on doing their biology course next year, but I don't know what to do about the labs - definitely not household items. At this point, thinking about doing DIVE for some of the labs and getting a microscope and prepared slides, etc.. Dissection by DVD sounds good to me! :tongue_smilie:
