Halcyon
I see some moms with milk-crate like carts on wheels in order to get all their books to their car... what do you use?
Mom-ninja.
A big tote bag. Our max is 17 books at a time so no need for anything bigger.
Ravin
Usually a reusable grocery bag, sometimes my backpack. When we haven't returned many and I don't want to haul a bunch more, I limit DD to what she can fit in her Cat in the Hat book bag. I usually limit her to what she can carry to the checkout scanner in one trip.

wy_kid_wrangler04
I bring my kids and we just load up. Our library stretches the limit for homeschoolers and since we live in a very small town they know who we all are.... last I checked I had 54 out total on all of our cards put together:confused:.... we use ALOT of library books but generally dont get more than 8 or 10 at a time. AngieW in Texas
We each have our own tote bags. The limit to how many books I will allow each kid is how many each dd can fit in her bag and carry. The library has a limit of 35 books per card. mrs.m
I see some moms with milk-crate like carts on wheels in order to get all their books to their car... what do you use? The wheelie crate! We usually have to park a block or two away from the library. I got tired of lugging books and my back hurting for days afterward. And the kids whine if they have carry more than 4 books in a bag. :001_huh: So I went with the crate. Turned out to be a great investment. I now use it for my groceries from Aldi. And once or twice a week to take the kid's school work with us for church meetings. And I'm pretty sure I'm using it at the pool this summer. Mommyfaithe
I see some moms with milk-crate like carts on wheels in order to get all their books to their car... what do you use? Laundry Basket and 2 kids...one on each end.
Dawn in OH
I have a large backpack that we use. We never pick up too many books at one time for me to carry it, even if we do have a lot of books checked out. They come home in staggered amounts. mommyto3
Reusable grocery bag. The limit is 21 items per card.

LauraGB
Each kid has a backpack (yes, they get a new one every year like every other school kid - the library is the only thing they use it for ) and I have a tote bag. We haul them in like that and we take them out like that.

BridgeTea
Big tote bag. You know, I have no idea what our book limit is. We go often and just get whatever we want. The only rule we've stretched that I'm aware of was the rule that says we can't take out more than 5 nf books on the same subject. The brand new head librarian was politely explaining that rule to us the day we wiped out the owl section by accident, and her staff leaned over and said, "It's okay. They homeschool. They'll bring 'em all back in a couple of days!"
Charles Wallace
I see some moms with milk-crate like carts on wheels in order to get all their books to their car... what do you use? I use an large canvas Ikea bag large enough to carry a small child or a Mini Cooper. Or perhaps a small child driving a Mini Cooper.:D
MamaSheep
Large plastic dishpan. It lives on a shelf in our school room for storage and easy access. When it's library day I just grab the bin and go, and everyone's books had BETTER be in there.
KidsHappen
I currently have one of the milk crate wheelie carts but as a child I walked to the library with my little red wagon. Sometimes my mom would drive me to a different library and we would carry the wagon in the back of the car until we got to the library. The librarians always loved to see me coming. johnandtinagilbert
we used to use laundry baskets. They got too heavy, now we have the carts on wheels. Big Lots, $10 :001_smile: It has lasted far longer than the $24 from the Super Office Supply Store. We have a library drive through now....YEAH FOR ME! So many times, I can simply use a small bag. What a nice change of pace.

Crissy
Around here it is every man for himself. Everyone has his own large, sturdy book bag and is allowed to fill it with as many books as he can carry on his own.
LBC
I use a large wicker basket with handles at each end. The basket is lined with cotton fabric. It's a nice looking basket, so I can just leave all of the books in it, and have it in the family room. The kids know that when they've finished with a book, it goes back into the basket, which saves me having to search for books in their rooms. I often receive positive comments from our librarians. They think it's a great idea. I'll try to paste a sample. Lori
tricia
I have found the old adage "many hands make light work" to be the key around here!! When all the children aren't with me I use a huge tote bag with a zipper. My friend uses a laundry basket.
MissKNG
My big girl wears her Garfield backpack and puts her books in there...she gets to pick 5 books! We got 19 today!! Packed Garfield full then lugged the rest!!
Suzanne in ABQ
Milkcrate and a foldable luggage cart (like a dolly, but folds flat). We keep the books in the crate so that we don't have to hunt them down to take them back. If I have an extra large load of books, I simply stack two crates on my little cart.
