laurad1125
If your kids make salt dough maps, what do they make them in and where do you get the containers?
plain jane
We make ours on any pieces of cardboard we have around and paint the background to fit the map. Usually I open up the boxes from amazon and use those since there's always plenty of them around. ;) Really, any cardboard works nicely, as long as you have one that is big enough to suit your needs. I just mix the ingredients in a mixing bowl, give the dough to the dc and off they go. It takes a couple of days for the dough to be dry enough to paint, depending on how thick their maps are. jacqui in mo
I used a pizza hut box. I got several for my classroom (I'm now a private school teacher) just by asking.
mommyto3
We'll be doing one in another week or so. The guide we're using suggested a pizza box so that's what we have.
laurad1125
We used pizza boxes for the last 2 as well. But I feel like a complete idiot going into the pizza place and asking for them. Usually, I'm of the "I don't care what you think" mindset but this one just trips me up.:o That's why I'm checking out what others do - purely to avoid the pizza place...
