Carrie12345
I've been playing with ds's high school options, since I know they will require LOOOOOONG (like, years) discussions/negotiations with his father. We hope to move back to NJ in the next couple of years, so I'm looking at community college options. CCM offers dual enrollment without any (stated) age requirements. A big plus, since our local PA school only offers to seniors. They also offer a "NJ high school diploma" through a GED/30-college-credit program that applies to an associate's degree. Ds is going to do some community college regardless of high school plans, so this all sounds like it would eliminate a lot of redundancy. I'm just wondering if anyone recognizes any negatives to the above option. Would the GED factor carry any potential negativity despite qualifying for a diploma? Would it even matter if he gets an associates anyway? For the record, there's no military option in his future, so that aspect doesn't matter.
