ham bone and bean soup

I cook my beans separately and set aside. I simmer my hambone with everything else in the soup (carrots, onions, celery etc) for 2 hours. Then, I take the bone out, cut the meat off, put the meat and beans in the pot and serve the soup!


I tried a new soup that called for adding rice at the last step and cooking for another 30-45 min. It worked beautifully!
