Lovedtodeath
My DD was very open to school at 3 and 4 but shut down at 5, so I guess I am saying YMMV.;) I tried to keep it down to about 15 minutes... a little bit of the three R's in that time.:)
lakotajm
Also, we do this every day of the year, so we don't have Monday-itis to contend with. I had pondered this approach. We do experience Monday-itis big time. Can other year-rounders chime in here? If you have switched, did that help? I think I could get my youngers to go along with that, but my older one (who was ps for a few years) will balk. It is not "normal"; not what her friends are doing. It might also make summer camp or vacations more comlpicated, I'm guessing? Lakota
2squared
Maybe you could ease into the week? I know some people have Fine Arts Friday, so we started to have Marvelous Mondays. We ditch the 3Rs that day and focus on nature walks, crafts/art, composer studies, etc.
