blessed2fosteradopt
My son needs a lot of work with punctuation and capitalization. I am looking for free worksheets online. Anybody have a great site to share? Thank you!
AngieW in Texas
Not worksheets, but http://www.spellingconnectionsonline.com has free proofreading pages that you complete online. They have more than just capitalization and punctuation errors. They start at 1st grade level and go up to 8th grade level. There are 25-35 at each level. I started my dd at the 2nd grade level last year in 5th grade because she was really bad at it and needed basic practice. She is about halfway through the 6th grade level now. Lovedtodeath
http://www.sfreading.com/resources/ghb.html Here ya go! I had DD do both the first and second grade because there isn't a lot there.
PeterPan
Dictation is free and the ultimate cure for a lot of problems around here. Beyond that, we've enjoyed various editing books. Some of them you can buy as ebooks for say $10 and then print all you want. They even come in themes like history, sports, etc.
tarana
Not worksheets, but http://www.spellingconnectionsonline.com has free proofreading pages that you complete online. Very nice resource. I created a login for each of my girls so I can track what worksheets they have completed. http://www.sfreading.com/resources/ghb.html This is good. It would have been nicer if the worksheets could have been completed online. Thanks ladies for the links.

Julie in MN
The thing that helped my son was using The Great Editing Adventure, although you could do something like that on your own. I wrote the sentence on the marker board each day, and the number of errors. Oh, and time. That also fixed his problems. In time, he started "needing" punctuation in his own writing, his friends' writing, and books he read -- otherwise nothing could be understood. In the earlier years, everything was understandable even without punct. & caps. So time helped, too. Julie
