Skills tracking software

I've just decided to start homeschooling my 2nd grade boy. I've sorted out all my options and have my curriculum mostly hammered out. It will be a hodge-podge mix of classical, reading-based, hands on, delight learning, games, software, etc. I'm looking for a way to make sure I'm covering the appropriate skills and topics as we go along. I've seen books that go over what skills and topics need to be taught at certain ages, and I've seen software programs that help you organize lesson plans. WHAT I NEED IS A COMBINATION OF THE TWO - a SOFTWARE program that helps me plan and track SKILLS AND TOPICS, not necessarily specific lesson plans. Has anyone heard of such a thing?
