shehmeth
Hi, I wanted to know if any of you have used either one of these Learning to Read Programs: Lire avec Leo et Lea (link: http://www.amazon.fr/Lire-avec-Léo-Léa-Méthode/dp/2701138418/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258949413&sr=1-1 ) Or Méthode Boscher (Link: http://www.amazon.fr/Méthode-Boscher-journée-tout-pe****/dp/2701141559/ref=pd_sim_b_5 ) What do you think? What did you like? dislike? Or maybe you used a different method? Thanks... Kate..
Guest robjoshua
Hello, we just bought several books from the Methode Boscher series, and they look very good, though we haven't started using them yet. I have not seen the other series in person.
Joan in GE
We used the Methode Boscher for learning to read French along with many other books, tapes and CD-Roms..but not the other, not because of any dislike, only because of lack of exposure. What I liked about MB is that it is phonetically based. Joan
sahm99
We used both, and the kids much preferred Leo & Lea. Boscher is REALLY old fashioned and my kids (native speakers) had problems with some of the vocalulary... Also, the layout is just better in L&L imho, pages less crowded, etc. Now, if you want to try out something else, check "Les Alphas". It is a method, rather than a book only...and my kids learned to read easy words in a day, literally. I still used it with my dds, even though they learned to read in English first. The method is just amazing! Hth!
