Heather in WI
Hi! We're covering Chapter 19 in SOTW IV this week and I would love to have a Chinese meal Monday night and a Vietnamese meal Wednesday night. Can anyone share their recipes and/or menu ideas for a family of 5 for either or both nights?
helena
Hi, I don't cook vietnamese food because we are lucky enough to live close to a few really good vegan Vietnamese restaurant. Vietnamese food is AWESOME! If you don't cook it yourself, I hope you can find a restaurant to try. Pho is an killer comfort food type soup it can be made w/ different types of meat or veg. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/beef-pho/detail.aspx Vietnamese pancakes are probably easy to make, mmmm so good. They aren't sweet, they're stuffed with bean sprouts, shrimp, pork, etc. (we eat the vegan versions) I'm sure there are recipes out there online. good luck! (now I'm thinking about about take out):)

Laura Corin
Something very easy is for Chinese is fried rice with a stir-fried veggie on the side. Ask if you need recipes for those. Laura
