Indian Unit Study

Hands of a Child has a couple of lapbooks on American Indians. These can work really well for a unit study, especially if you flesh them out a little with some extra reading books.

I second the Hands of a Child studies. We haven't used these yet, but are on this year's list.

Another recommendation would be Evan-Moore books. We used a portion of the Southwest Indian book last year along with the Josephina American Girl books. I just noticed they have a history pocket book for grades 1 - 3. Those books are also a hit at my house.
