Le Morte d'Arthur--best, most readable version? (Cross-post with high school board)

Recommended Posts

Are you looking for a translation for an adult, or a retelling for a middle-school student?

The retelling I recently had ds read is the one Calvert uses for its 6th grade students: King Arthur and His Knights Based on Sir Thomas Malory's Morte d'Arthur by Elizabeth Lodor Merchant. The book was written in the early 1900s, but Calvert has continued to reprint it for their students, so you can find used copies around.
