Julie of KY
Tell me about Singapore Physics Matters. Do you like this book? Do you use the workbooks and/or practical books? Have you used other physics texts and how does this compare? What level of mathematics is needed for this book? Are the practical labs doable at home (especially if I'm willing to buy some supplies)? Are your kids science kids or non-science using this? How hard is it to teach? I have an engineering background and I love the idea of using a more conceptual based text for the initial physics introduction. I think if a student learns the physics concepts and how they apply to life, then it is will be easier to learn physics with more math later (either in high school or college). Is this a good program for me?
