sandellie4
We just discovered that we have to have our tax forms finished early this year in order to complete college financial aid requirements (by Dec. 31 for at least one of the colleges our dd is applying to). I don't know how to complete our taxes without software. But what if the software isn't available by then? And the forms that we get for our taxes, the ones that show earnings, taxes paid, etc. aren't even required to be mailed by the companies we work for until well into January, right? So what have others done about this? Sandy

sandellie4
No accountant for us. I'll be doing this myself somehow.
readwithem
I'm pretty sure you can estimate based on current year data and what you know will change. But you might check with the colleges to see what they advise. I know *nobody* who knows what their exact numbers will be :)
Photo Ninja
We have only had colleges want financial aid info via the FAFSA, which needs to be completed by March 1. I am surprised that a college wants all that info by Dec. 31. I don't know how we could do that accurately.
