Narnia series

Yes. I was told (I haven't read them all yet myself) to ignore the book numbers. Apparently the order C.S. Lewis wanted them to be in was

1.Lion, Witch, etc.

2.Prince Caspian

3.Voyage of Dawn Treader

4.Silver Chair

5.Horse and His Boy

6.Magician's Nephew

7.The Last Battle

This is the order we used, I kinda like saving the Magician's Nephew for closer to the end.

YEP! I call it "Old School" Narnia (stupid I know) but it drives me crazy how marketers and the publishers have changed the order to be chronological instead of as-intended. There is such as sense of "OOOOOOOH!!!! That's why....!" when you read The Magician's nephew in place number 6. Besides, it's how I read it when I was a kid.

ETA: in fact, the cheap boxed version that I have back in the early '70s is physically numbered as indicated above, not the new way that the publishers are numbering them.
