Through fourth grade, to just know some of the very basic literary terms.

 

Logic stage, to begin aspects of literary analysis in papers - - short, simple and sweet, not true literary analysis papers.

 

High school, literary analysis.

 

She recs Essential Literary Terms: A Brief Norton Guide with Exercises.

THe book you mention above - will that help me to teach it through all the grades? I have kids in all stages. I am not sure I know how to "teach" this??:001_huh:

The exercises are going to be geared toward older students, but that's fine. With younger students, all you're going for is the basic recognition that an author is the person who wrote the story, plot is what happens in a story, etc.
