periwinkle
Middle ds and I are compiling a list of schools to visit this winter/spring. We are limited by several factors, including his desire to stay close to home and his major (Art Education). Dh and I would prefer he choose a Christian college, although ds is a bit of a rebel (probably ODD) and is concerned about overly strict rules/chapel requirements. He is passionate about art but not a stellar student (B's, probably average SAT scores.) So, here is what we have: Roberts Wesleyan (Rochester, NY): looks amazing on paper Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA):tiny, but quirky...love the satellite campus in DC; he could attend Corcoran for a semester Messiah (Grantham, PA): I am an alum Lebanon Valley (Annville, PA): small, secular but conservative? Millersville: state school, larger than all others, more opportunities? I would sincerely appreciate any information you could share.:001_smile:
LBS
Virginia Commonwealth University. Several very excellent departments and schools, highly ranked art, great education dept. A+ school for a 'B' student (although hard to get into many depts like music and art, they are so competitive.) LBS
Chris in VA
VCU is where my son is, trying to get into their cinema program. It may be too liberal for your tastes. It is an EXCELLENT art school, tho.:D
