I am starting the couch to 5K program and it is getting COLD!!! in my area so I am looking to purchase. Utilizing a gym is not an option for me. Actually, I got it second hand on Craigslist (it didn't look like it had been used at all, and the guy I bought it from said he'd used it only a handful of times). I got it two years ago and use it nearly daily and it has held up well. At the time I was researching, this was the brand of treadmill recommended for people who didn't want to spend $1000 or more. lvbnhome Posted October 8, 2009 Share Posted October 8, 2009 We bought a Landis on Craigslist and it is awesome. My daughters both trained for Marathons on it, and it is the only consistent exercise I have been able to do. I love it because it doesn't jiggle (is that a word?) around when running on it, and is very solid. One tip. We got a good deal on it, but when we went to look at it, the lady failed to mention it was on the second story, with a VERY narrow staircase :) My dh, was REAL (not) happy with me that day:) Anyway, I think we have all enjoyed it.
