Just wanted to tell you I make your pizza recipe almost every Friday night for family night and anytime we have a glob of kids over that's exactly what they ask for. I also occasionally cook for a group of single guys from church - they repeatedly ask for it.

I tried it with spinach, onions and feta cheese instead of mozz. OH MY! It was awesome.

I also have made it with 1/2 white, 1/2 wheat flour. Still yummy. I think it's the herbs in the dough that is the secret.

Anyway, just had to say thanks for such staple in our meal planning. It's soooo easy.

Here's the recipe link in case any of you haven't tried it. It's so cheap - we had to (gasp) order pizza a week or so ago. IT WAS $20. I couldn't believe it.

ps I'd love to see recipes of other things you all make ALL THE TIME that your family just loves and is easy and economical - sounds like I'm asking for the perfect curricula but in meals :tongue_smilie:

but I haven't cooked them yet to know. I can share a few more staple dishes I fix though...

Yummy Pork Chops

Preheat oven to 350°, in a casserole dish lay your pork chops out flat. Squirt them with lemon juice (or lay a flat slice of lemon on them). Add 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar to each pork chop. Mix 2/3 cup ketchup with enough water to make 1 cup, stir well. Pour over pork chops. Bake 30-45 minutes or until chops are cooked well.

Your kids will love them. I serve with rice and a vegetable.

Italian Baked Chicken

Boneless, skinless thighs or breasts (however many your family needs)

Fresh tomato diced or in a pinch use canned tomatoes

Mozzarella cheese

Italian dressing

Preheat 350°, lay chicken in casserole dish, top each piece of chicken with tomatoes, then pour Italian dressing over chicken and tomatoes at your discretion. After chicken is done, top with mozzarella cheese and put back in oven so it will melt.

Another one I serve with rice :D Okay I have one more and then I'm out of staple dishes...

Crab Cakes

Serves 4-5

3 cans of crab meat

3 T of mayonaise

1 T of Dijon mustard

1 egg

Parsley

? maybe 1 cup or 2 cups of cracker meal or bread crumbs

Mix all together and form patties, fry in 2 inches of oil. Yum! I use as much bread crumbs as I need to get a good consistency to the mix so that the patty stays together.
