AuntieM
My sophomore is interested in physics, perhaps applied physics, his specific interest is ballistics. And he's stuck with a business-major mom, sigh. Anyway, he is interested in Embry Riddle in Daytona Beach, and I am wondering just how serious their physics program is. Can anyone share info on this school?
K-FL
No experience, but I've heard that it's the 2nd choice of many who don't get into the Service Academies.
AuntieM
That's encouraging. USAFA is also on ds's short list, but an iffy one since it's both a "stretch" goal and we aren't certain about his desire to commit to actual military service. He does have one good friend/mentor in his second year there now, and another almost certain to be entering as a cadet next fall. I think my questions are more about the strength of its science compared to the strength of its flight/flight support training. DS is attracted by its program for a minor in Homeland Security and its proximity to Cape Canaveral. I'd love to hear any more info the gang can offer!
