ncmomo3 Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I am working out some planning and was wondering if there was an optimum time for working in US Gov't or Econ. Quote
ncmomo3 Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 Well, I was mulling this over, outloud in front of the HSLDA booth a few years ago and the fellow piped up, "You HAVE to do it election year!" And he was right! We did a barebones AO gov't course, so she had time to read good books (had to have the AO to keep NARS happy--stupid waste of time) and work on some campaigns. it was great! So, I'd try to work it in fall of '08. What a clever answer-I love it!! Thank you. Quote

carol Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 I thought Civics is government or am I just dumbfounded? Carol Quote
Peek a Boo Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 For me, i usually see the difference as Gvt =academic knowledge, Civics= actual participation. I'm sure many people have different ideas of how they word it. I bookmarked the following for course descriptions: they include separate gvt and civics courses. http://data.fldoe.org/crsCode/default.cfm?level=912&category=Social%20Studies HTH! Quote
