hsmom Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 After you have finished Rightstart what math do you go to next? I want to keep him with the hands on approach. I did buy him the Charlotte Mason, Your business Math Series - Math sports store to do after we are finished, but that will only last so long. http://simplycharlottemason.com/books/yourbusinessmath/ I like to be prepared way ahead of time, so I am looking into the next step already. So, what do you recommend? Quote
Susie in CA Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 We'll propably move on to Singapore Math. Susie Quote
Pensguys Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 My older ds completed the RS series (minus geometry). We went into BJU6 and it has been easy to slightly challenging depending on what the lessons are about. We started with BJU later in the year, so we won't finish it until late Fall of 2008 at which time we will work on Module A for VideoText. VT is what Dr. Cotter recommended for Algebra. Module A is prealgebra so when we finish that in 6th grade, ds will start Module B (Algebra) in 7th grade. I also have some of the Life of Fred books to use along the way if we finish with Module A too early before the school year is up. At least that's the plan. :) Quote
hsmom Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 I looked into Singapore and I am not too sure about it. I also looked into MUS and it looks awesome, but as I am learning looks can be deceiving. So, those of you with experience with both programs what do you think. Is it any easy transition to go from RS to MUS? Or should I look harder into Singapore? Quote
hsmom Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 Anyone have any suggestions???? I am on another forum where they love MUS, but no one uses RS. So, that is why I am asking your opinions. Thank you so much!!!! Quote
