mom2three
Hello, My friend's nephew was studying in the US for the past three years. Due to some unforseen circumstances, he has had to return to Japan. He is currently a senior. He needs to finish his senior and hopes to come back to the states for college. He is having a difficult time getting into international schools. Are there any online high schools where he can do independent studies and get credit and a high school diploma? I thought of the Potters School, but since this is not a school, it may not be the best option. What online high schools are there? Or if you think there is a better option, please let me know. Thank you.
EKS
There's NARHS for independent study. Keystone and K12 both have online high schools. If you google "online high school" you will find others as well.

dlcricket
NorthStar Academy is an online accredited high school. All three of our children have taken classes there and I recommend it. The website is http://www.northstar-academy.org . Hello, My friend's nephew was studying in the US for the past three years. Due to some unforseen circumstances, he has had to return to Japan. If you google "online high school" you will find others as well. I think Keystone isn't that great, do a search on this forum. I have a friend that used it and didn't like it. I have heard good things about the Univ. of Lincoln Nebraska, but it is expensive.
newbie
VP Scholars online. K12 Icademy Laurel Springs Taken keystone , but not great. Remember, to get diplomas for these, they will have to come up w/transcript to transfer classes to get credit for diploma. K12 requires it be an accredited school. I dont know about Laurel or Vp. SW in IL
A friend's daughter is doing her high school through North Atlantic Regional High School (something like that) and they're very pleased. She's already planning on doing the same with her other kids. Sue
