What to do after SWO Book H...

My 6th grader will finish SWO Book H this year. Next year for 7th, what should she do for spelling? I was planning to use Vocabulary from the Classical Roots book A, but shouldn't she also do a spelling program?

if you really feel he needs one, you could try Simply Spelling. It's for grades 3rd - 12th and is a dictation based program. I'm trying it next year for my dc after all the talk on the board about it. We are also using Vocab from Classical Roots A for 7th grade after dd finishes SWO H but also plan to use Simply Spelling.

I think that after eighth grade (which is the level that H in SWO is meant to cover), most students move on to word study rather than continuing spelling. I suppose it's thought that their spelling skills should be pretty well set by that time. The last couple of levels of SWO really do move very well into a word study type of program. I suppose you could also have her practice spelling of the words covered in VfCR, if you wanted.....
