supermom
And is this a late enough edition to have Pre-Algebra included? IOW, Is it okay to skip straight to Algebra 1 after using the second edition book? Thanks. Monica
Laura K (NC)
(that's a great feature!) I'm pretty confident that this book is a sufficient pre-algebra program as long as a child has mastered the concepts thoroughly. My own 7th grader is struggling with it so I'm not calling it "pre-algebra." He will do pre-algebra next year either with Saxon 1/2 or with another program. supermom
My twins are 10 and going through 76 right now. They are doing pretty good with 76, but I would not consider them "mathy". I'm a bit concerned about them hitting Algebra 1 too young, so I am thinking I might end up doing both 87 and 1/2, too. I really love the feature of having that lesson number in parenthesis, so I wanted to make sure it was there before I buy a used Second Edition book. Thanks for letting me know it's there.
