lynn
I want to make a purse cake with some jewelry around it. I found a recipe for fondant which I will be testing out soon. So far, in my limited creative mind, I have marshmellow and jellybeans for necklaces/bracelets etc. So let the ideas come. I am going to micheals to see what edible sequence I can come up with and also see is I can find coloring for the fondant. TIA
Samiam
You should check out the www.familyfun.com website. They have a birthday cake section, and some of them are really cool, but simple to make.
AndyJoy
I've seen gummy fruit snacks in gem shapes that might come in handy. Don't forget candy necklaces/bracelets! My Dollar Tree has several choices of these.
lynn
I made marshmallow fondant and just used normal food coloring. It worked just fine. I found a recipe for this on Allrecipes.com. Glad to hear I can use regular food coloring for the other kind is quite pricey. Thanks for the tip.

mommy2be
I made the rolled marshmellow fondant using the recipe from wilton.com and used regular food coloring as well. It turned out great! :001_smile: Good luck! Be sure to share pics of the finished product! I'd love to see it!!!
Hockey Mom
"Plastic" chocolate would probably be easier to handle than fondant (for the jewelry) and it tastes pretty good too. What about those candy rings? They come in all different colors too.
