I've had some requests for my movie list. (Yvonne...your message box is full:))

We're doing Winter Promise for history, which includes the early church, so those movies are represented here. My kids are a little older....please read the reviews on Netflix and make sure they're right for your family. I usually have my daughter put a blanket over her head during violent scenes. : )

The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

The Apostles Collection

The Story of the 12 Apostles

David McCauley: Roman City

Barbarians

St. John in Exile

The Dark Ages

El Cid

The Vikings: Journey to New Worlds

Joan of Arc (the t.v. version with Leelee Sobieski)- this one is beautiful and, to my limited knowledge, quite accurate.)

Joan of Arc (Ingrid Bergman) (Avoid the others which can be quite secular/Hollywood.)

Terry Jones: Medieval Life

William the Conqueror

The History of Warfare: Stirling Bridge

The History of Warfare: The Crusades

The History of Warfare: The Vikings

The Crusades

St. Augustine: His Life and Spirituality (this is a very dry lecture...my kids hated it.)

St. Anthony

The Plague

The Company: Inigo and his Jesuits

Ancient Mysteries: Lost Castles in England.

would you mind putting an asterix by the ones that would be ok for a six year old..or that there wouldn't be any need for a blanket over the head?

I'm sorry, I haven't seen all of them. I would say very few would be appropriate for small children.
