Amy in NH
As part of the state law? I thought I read this somewhere. But now I don't remember which state it was. Thanks!

Guest Virginia Dawn
My sister-in-law is in SC and I think they have to be part of a homeschool "association." I'm not sure how that works.
Amy in NH
Yup. I went through all 50 states at the HSLDA website, and South Carolina was the only one where signing up with a support group was an option (the most attractive option) for initiating a homeschool. Thanks!
G5052
One of my SIL's homeschools that way in SC. She has to report her curriculum, grades, and attendance to them as well (every group is a little different). Frankly I think I have it easier in our state because I don't have to report any of that even though I report directly to the county once a year!
