msjones
Humor me as I clean out my homeschool closet. If you put all of your homeschool curricula in a single stack, approximately how high would it stack?
Stacia
Eeks. Now that's a SCARY question. If you include everything we have (incl. things we're not using right now)... easily 20-30+ ft. Hmmm. I REALLY need to get rid of some of our stuff.
tricia
Well lets see. I have 10 book shelves with approximately 12 feet of book space on each shelf if I were to lay the shelves end to end. So 10 x 12 = 120 feet high. That's scary. Maybe I should do some decluttering. Of course, that includes picture books, novels, reference type books, etc. It's not all curriculum. 8filltheheart
Humor me as I clean out my homeschool closet. If you put all of your homeschool curricula in a single stack, approximately how high would it stack? Enough that it would kill someone if it ever fell!! Seriously, it would be physically impossible for me to even do it in terms of everything I own. In terms of this yr alone....... probably 10 ft. Annabel Lee
Curriculum alone: ~12 ft. Curriculum with all of the scheduled spines & additional resource books: ~34 ft., all of which is on the shelves right now. :D

msjones
Everything we are using now, or everything we own? Include scheduled lit books or not? Everything you have in your house that you would call "homeschool stuff."
msjones
I'm an aggressive de-clutterer, since we have virtually no storage in our tiny house. But my stack would still be at least 15 feet high!
Pretty in Pink
Oh, gosh...I could go floor to ceiling several at least twice; that would be 24 feet!
mcconnellboys
Wow, if I could put all my books that we read as part of school, during one year or another, into a SINGLE stack, then it might be a mile high! I have thousands of books! Those for a single school year would be at least as high as my cathedral ceilinged school room, maybe higher. K in MI
Ummmm....... suffice it to say, it would be very tall!
MamaT
I have a room dedicated as a library in my house with shelves all the way around, floor to ceiling. I also have a 10ft. x 12 ft. long bookshelf in the family room in the basement. It's all full. I can't imagine how high that would be - very, very high. :001_smile:
