Possibly odd question ... self-education and accountability

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have someone they kind of stay accountable to regarding their own education? In other words, would it help me stay on track more if I had someone to at least talk to about what I am doing and what I want to accomplish?

Personally, I think a mentor is good to have in any aspect of your life where you've set a goal to achieve or where you need the accountability (or both).

I meet with another homeschool mom once a month for fellowship and homeschool encouragement. My husband and I have mapped out self-education goals, and we try to keep each other on track at home.

You could start a book club to help with accountability or you could look into Wes Calihan's Great Books tutorial for adults or tutors. I don't have all the details but he is a great teacher and having to be in class would certainly keep you on track! Good luck.
