Twinmom Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I had a little "accident" with the roller while priming some walls yesterday and spattered white primer all over myself. I quickly jumped in the shower and scrubbed down with paint thinner (yuck!) and washed my hair with regular shampoo/conditioner. My hair is still completely full of primer! I look ridiculous, esp. because my hair is long and dark brown. Of course, I leave in the morning to drive from NC to TX to see my entire family... Anyone have any ideas on how to get primer out of my hair safely...tonight? :glare: I hesitate to use the paint thinner because I'm afraid it will damage my hair, but that's the only suggestion I can find on the internet. What says the Hive? Quote
Twinmom Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 Anybody, anybody?! I look like a powdered donut. Quote
Cedarmom Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 The only way I've found is to use a fine tooth comb and scrub it out. On skin it helps if the cleaner has something abrasive, I wonder if the grit of something like baking soda would help? Quote

jenL Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I found this... http://ask.metafilter.com/35867/Primer-in-Hair Good luck! I have the same color hair, so I feel your pain! Quote
Twinmom Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 Thanks, ladies. I got desperate and went for the paint thinner. Nasty stuff, but it worked. I did it as fast as I could and took an immediate shower. Now, I'm deep conditioning. All I can say at this point is that I am no longer white, no longer stinky and my hair is still very brown! We'll see how dry it is in the morning...:tongue_smilie: Quote
