NavyWifeandMommy
Easy Homeschooling Companion by Lorraine Curry. I mostly skimmed thru it. It did care for it and a waste of $$ IMO. I see it going into the garage sale pile along with What Your ___ grader needs to know series. I have 1-6. I am now rereading bith the WTM 2004 edition along with A Charlotte Mason Companion. I enjoy both of these and have started to mark them. I like the CM style for the younger grades but am looking at classical for the higher up grades. HappyGrace
-3rd ed. WTM (BEST one ever-a real improvement, esp for logic stage) -When Children Love to Learn (CM philosophy-and has good schedules in back) -Teaching to Change Lives (Howard Hendricks-great!) And that's just over the last two wks!!
anissa
Todd Wilson's Homeschooling Cartoon books. Seriously, they aren't "how to" but your whole family will get a kick out of them. I guess the last serious book was the WTM and that was a couple years ago.

Mothersweets
WTM 3rd edition and the All Day Charlotte Mason seminar by Simply Charlotte Mason with the Laying Down the Rails session. Does that count? it isn't actually a book. :) Hmmm....I don't know what I want to get next? The Pocketful of Pinecones book looks good, though. amyco
The only ones I've ever purchased are WTM, all three editions, and 2nd ed. of LCC. I've read a couple from the library, but WTM is my touchstone. I won't be without it!
swellmomma
Well I just picked up a charlotte mason one today from the library, the last one I bought was "How to get your kids off the refigerator and on to learning"
amydavis
When I decided to homeschool (last year), I checked out at least 20 books from the library. I took notes and made lists. I remember being so confused. Then I read WTM (1st ed.) and I instantly knew exactly what I wanted to do. So, I returned my books and went out and purchased the 2nd edition. Fast-forward to the Williamsburg Conference - I updated and purchased the 3rd edition. So, although I've read a lot, I've only spent money on one book-twice! Stacia
Not exactly a 'how-to homeschool' book, but I got it to use/apply for our homeschooling: Upside-Down Brilliance: The Visual-Spatial Learner. (Wow. I can't believe used copies are selling for so much. In case someone is interested, here is the main website for the book/author.) DawnM
I have this one too.....I think it confused me even more! I also have read the Bluedorn's Teaching the Trivium (will read it again when I dont' want to feel like a total hs failure!) Let's see.....John Taylor Gatto's Underground History, Charlotte Mason Companion, and some book by Lisa Welchel that really was fluff. Dawn Cathy Duffy's 100 Top Picks for Homeschool Curriculum. ladydusk
WTM 3rd Edition I also bought The Paideia of God and Repairing the Ruins (both by Douglas Wilson) from Canon Press. forty-two
LCC2 is the last homeschooling book I purchased. But the last book-to-help-me-homeschool I bought is Teach the Latin, I Pray You, by Paul Distler. It gives a detailed, rigorous-in-a-classical-ed way approach to teaching students to read Latin as Latin. I love it, though it truly is meant for people who already know Latin, as opposed to those still learning it. I'm still getting a lot out of it even with my current state of knowledge, though. ElizabethB
"Add two cups of laughter." I'm still not much fun, but I do have fun phonics games and now RS math games. Also, I like to laugh with my daughter at things we find funny. Maybe I need to read it again? Or maybe it was too radical for boring me. LoveBaby
I just sent paypal for "When Children Love to Learn". The ones I refer to most often are LCC1 & 2, Charlotte Mason Companion and the CM Homeschooling Series.
japhmi
Last one I purchased was LCC 2nd ed, and before that was WTM 2nd ed. I've read a bunch of other stuff from the library - but those have been our only purchases.
mama25angels
I wish my library had some, I think we only the Rebecca Rupp and Mary Pride books, maybe a few others, but nothing about CM or WTM, or even Ruth Beechick. That's why i've had to buy a few, fortunately i bought them used.

jenadina
My last purchase was the 1st ed. of LCC...I already had the 2nd. Now I can't decide which I like better! I also have WTM (2nd ed.), Rebecca Rupp's Home Learning Year-by-Year, and Nebel's Elementary Education. My LCC books are by FAR my favorite!
