Guest Barb B
Those who used Giancoli's Physics principles with applications. How did you figure how much time to spend on each chapter, did you test? I am thinking to get through it in a year one has to do a chapter per week? Is this doable, did anyone have or create syllabus to follow? Kathy in Richmond
I used this wonderful teacher's website for pacing Giancoli. In addition to a weekly assignment guide, she has links to all kinds of other helpful material. We used these practice problems on the publisher's website to check my kids' work as the year progressed (just click on a chapter number to see the publisher's resources) ~Kathy
Guest Barb B
Kathy, The web site looks good, but the page numbers in the weekly assignment section don't correlate with my text! Good resources I will use though. I am off to see if there is a similar web site that corresponds to my text. Barb
Kathy in Richmond
Barb - what edition of Giancoli do you own? Also, try this version of Delores Gendes' website. For some reason, I can't find it from her front page (what I linked above) any more. This is what I used for pacing and planning homework. She has page numbers and homework problems listed for both the 5th and 6th editions of Giancoli. You just need to click on the various topic titles to get to a detailed planning sheet. If you have some other version, you could still use it as a pacing guide by aligning weekly topics. I found it worked very well here. ~Kathy
Guest Barb B
Kathy, I have the 6th edition published in 2005. Thanks for the other web site. I will check it out. True, I will look and align chapers up with topics! Barb
