farmwife
I p.m.'d you! I think you could easily do it in one year. Just cut out what you don't think is very important. Good luck!
siloam
Did you complete this in one year? What books did you find were a must read to go along with this? I am teaching students from infant through 4th grade. THANKS I didn't do the whole book, just used it for a short while when I transitioned to TOG. What I did was buy Guerber's Story of the Thirteen colonies, then each day I would read the TQ introduction and a chapter from that text. If there was a topics in TQ listed that didn't use our text to cover it then I just skipped it. I figured we could catch that topic on our next round. With that method and pace I do think you would finish in a year. Though you would have to go in and do the math to be sure. Heather
Narrow Gate Academy
It can certainly be completed in one year. I can't think of any specific must reads off the top of my head. My kids enjoyed Adler's A Picture Book of... series, books from The Childhood of Famous Americans, and books from the Garrard discovery series. Heather in OK
We do their "texts" in a year. We don't cover every single topic in them though. No books in particular, just whatever our library has on the shelf that's on the TQ list. :)
