Tracy in Ky
Piggy escaped her pen, and we're having big storms! Ds ran out and grabbed her and put her on our gated deck. First time I've ever had a pig on my deck.

Rebecca VA
That reminds me of one of the first scenes in Lonesome Dove, where Augustus was mad at his two pigs for fighting over a snake. He said that having pigs on the porch made the day seem hotter.
chickenpatty
LOL! That's even better than having chicks in my bathtub. :)
Tracy in Ky
She is lying by the door now. Too funny. I think she wants to come in. Once dh gets home he'll figure out how she got out and fix the escape route.

Mommyof4ks
 That reminds me of the time that a fawn was born on our front porch and mama deer would not let us out of our front door. I don't know why that came to mind, maybe it is the animal relation. :D
Rebecca VA
Wasn't Gus a sweetie? I love Lonesome Dove. It's my all-time favorite movie, and the book is wonderful as well. And those pigs...the book says they followed the herd all the way up to Montana and were eaten for Christmas dinner.
Crissy
Have you read The Good Good Pig by Sy Montgomery? Christopher Hogwood was famous for escaping his pen.

Aggie
Aww....Gus....one of my favorite characters of all time. Not to hijack the thread, but... My dh named one of our dogs Gus after Augustus McCray. (He said I could tell my hsing friends the dog was named after Caesar Augustus. :)) Dh loves that movie and quotes it ALL the time.:001_smile:
