I'm particularly interested in this because if we do this, it will be for ~20 students. I used the Staples Copy Center online to send my files last week and I got 25% off. I coil-bounded an embroidery pattern that I bought. It was a downloaded pattern, so I needed nice printouts. I picked heavier paper with two vinyl covers. It was about $15 for 24 pages. You can get clear covers if you wish. The last things I had spiral bound were the SOTW, Volume 3. So the book has around 220 (two sided) pages and the activity book had around 120 (two sided) pages. Did they attach the hard plastic front and back? Hmmm, they put a clear plastic 'cover' on the front/back of the activity book, but it's not hard plastic. You have to ask for any type of cover to be added - they have samples on-site of what they have to offer. How much were you charged? You might be able to go to their website and find prices there. I've had regular books bound there (they break the spines and spiral bind them) and I've had copies made and had those spiral bound. They can do most of the spiral binding on-site now (they used to send it off, unless you wanted the thinner, wire-type spiral binding), so it's very convenient.
