I need a WW bread recipe for a bread machine

Recommended Posts

Here is the 100% Whole Wheat Bread recipe from my Oster bread machine recipe book. I usually change it to 1 cup whole wheat flour, and white flour for the rest. It still makes a very wheaty bread, in my opinion. It says it's for a 2 lb. loaf (all the recipes say 1.5 lb. or 2 lb.). I don't use my machine anymore, but still use this recipe for bread in the oven or for rolls in the oven.

1 2/3 c. water

2 Tbsp. margarine or butter, softened

1/3 c. packed brown sugar

2 tsp. salt

4 2/3 c. whole wheat flour (or for me, 1 c. whole wheat, 3 2/3 c. white)

3 tsp. active dry yeast

Measure and add liquid ingredients to the bread pan.

Measure and add dry ingredients (except yeast) to the bread pan.

Use your finger to form a well in the flour where you will pour the yeast. Measure the yeast and carefully pour it into the well.

From here she'd follow the instructions on her bread machine to knead & bake.
