HollyBee
I'm looking to buy some good quality but not super expensive wall maps for our schoolroom--U.S. and world. Any recommendations? :bigear: (I searched the forum but couldn't find anything.) Thanks! Holly
mbcatac7
I went to Mardels and got really good laminated maps. It was like $12 for a U.S, World and Flag Map..plus a C.D. Good size for the wall. Very impressed. Billie
vettechmomof2
We found ours at Sam's for $7.00. It takes up one of my diniring room walls(almost). It is large though and everyone who brings there children over are always amazed at how much time the children(of all ages) move toward the map and spend so much time discussing it.;)
lauracolumbus
We got ours at Sam's. I've seen them at teacher supply stores too. Laura
jen210
There is a really pretty one at Office Depot and Office Max. It is the Rand McNally World Edition Classic Map (they have US only too). It looks sortive antique with tan oceans. I paid $10 for it and then got it laminated. If you want blue oceans, they have the same map already laminated for $15. I then adhered it to insulation (aka foamboard) from Lowe's, put painted wood molding around it and hung it in my kitchen. It is 50x32 inches. It looks like a piece of artwork. I LOVE it and get tons of compliments on it and several of my friends want to hang one in their schoolroom too! Jennifer

HollyBee
Thanks everyone! I'll check Sam's and Costco the next time I'm there, and if neither one works I'll head to Office Depot. Holly

kmacnchs
I couldn't find one anywhere that was political (only geographic). However, we did find a shower curtain and I was thinking of putting it up on the wall and using visavis pens or dry erase, whichever worked :D Thanks for all of the other places to look though for an actual map!
