Renthead Mommy
I did TGG about 3 years ago and was very disappointed. Some weeks I didn't even save enough to cover the cost of membership and a newspaper. I think the most I saved was about $5 one week during the 12 weeks I did it. (4 weeks free, one 8 week cycle). I don't really buy many processed foods, do most of our cooking, and I make my own cleaning supplies for the most part. Now that I need to totally stock a new kitchen, I'm considering trying this again, but I don't want to spend the money on such disappointing results again. Especially if the coupon mom one really is the same. So can someone tell me the differance between two?

Heather in AL
I'm bumping for you because I'm interested, too! With the exception of making my own cleaning products (just haven't tried it yet), my shopping list probably looks a lot like yours, so I've wondered if TGG would be worth it for me. :bigear:

Renthead Mommy
Okay, that is pretty funny, especially since it was like 4 pages back!

Dobela
I found the TGG to be better organized and easier to read, but that is about it. Honestly,I do better just watching sales and only keeping coupons for things I like. If I can combine coupons with sales I do alright. I don't like shopping weekly though if at all possible. I have found that I save the most money buying cases of food on sale and just sending my dh to the store for milk, eggs, and such. The less I go to the store, the less I spend - coupons or not. Veronica in VA
I like moneysavingmom.com At least for CVS and Walgreens. She also has links to a lot of different coupons. I usually check it at least once a day. Veronica Edited July 5, 2009 by Veronica in VA forgot something
Rhonda in TX
GG does. I also like the layout of GG better. The cost, in my opinion, is minimal.
Melissa in FL
I didn't really get enough out of GG to be worth paying anything for it. I love couponmom. It makes it very easy to make my grocery list. I just check everything I want to stock up on or need that week and print it out. At the bottom add anything else I need. I think the GG is fine if you use a lot of coupons, but we don't. It also might depend on your area. I know when I first tried couponmom it seemed like their lists were off, but they are hardly ever wrong now. Renthead Mommy
I ALWAYS save more than the sub fee and any papers I get. Truly it's so cheap, like $2 a week for both. I don't buy a lot of processed food but I still save by using the list to know if the advertised sales are THE best price for that cycle. When I did it last time (12 weeks - 4 free and 8paid), I couldn't find enough on her lists to even save enough most weeks to cover the $2 subscription fee and $1.50 for a paper. I literally would get one, maybe two items off her lists a week. I looked at it more, and I probably won't even bother now, we've got two different produce markets and a 3rd store that they don't even list.
