"Different" boy names?

If I saw the name Jaeger, I'd assume it was pronounced "Yayger", not "jagger".

 

Yes, "Jaeger" (the same as in Jaegermeister) means "hunter" in German, and is indeed pronounced something akin to "Yay-ger". The thing is, with two vowels and only one consonant following, the "jagger" pronunciation doesn't even make sense with English phonetic rules. If she wants "jagger", she should spell it "Jagger". :tongue_smilie: jmho. :D
