C_l_e_0..Q_c
This summer, we'll be introducing our kids to Shakespeare, with the play "As You Like It". Is there a small "curriculum" (for lack of a better word) that will help me prepare the kids?
Maria/ME
You may want to check out Rainbow Resource. I was just looking under Shakespeare in their catalog and WOW. Lot's of possibilities for a "curriculum" or deeper appreciation for Shakespeare's plays whether collectively or individually. One curriculum I looked at had a parrellel version of his plays along with a student workbook and teacher's addition. It looked like more than simple reading comp...seemed pretty complete. C_l_e_0..Q_c
Ah! Study guide is more appropriate than "curriculum". I'm browsing Rainbow Resources right now...
Hathersage
You may want to watch the animated version on youtube: http://www.squidoo.com/shakespeare-animated-tales#module20382562 The adaptation was written by Garfield. As You Like It is included in Garfield's Shakespeare Stories II. You could also prepare with a children's version by Lamb or Nesbit Lamb and Nesbit are in the public domain and can be found here: http://manybooks.net/titles/lambchmaetext96tshak10.html http://manybooks.net/titles/nesbiteetext98bsshk10.html Edited June 29, 2009 by Hathersage
