Country Mouse
My mom and I are taking ds on an impromptu business/fun trip to PA and we will be in Philadelphia for a day. We are leaving tomorrow so I don't have time to do my usual research and planning. Please help me! What are your not-to-be-missed sights in Philly? Erica in PA
My mom and I are taking ds on an impromptu business/fun trip to PA and we will be in Philadelphia for a day. We are leaving tomorrow so I don't have time to do my usual research and planning. Please help me! What are your not-to-be-missed sights in Philly? Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross House, Franklin Court--the entire Independence Mall area is great. You can easily spend an entire day in just that neighborhood. Eat at the City Tavern, which is a reconstruction of the tavern where the founding fathers ate and talked together. Start at the Independence Visitor Center, and you will find all the information you need to plan your day. Have a great time!

Country Mouse
Thanks for the suggestions! Is the science center you are referring to the Franklin Institute?

gingersmom
You must must do Reading Terminal Market. My kids were wide eyed the whole time. It was so much fun!
kalanamak
I'm a patsy for them, but I love the old train station, and the artwork in it. If you are nearby....poke your head in. Edited June 25, 2009 by kalanamak spelling
