Nestof3
Aside from eating it as cereal or as a topping to something, does anyone know of something I can actually MAKE with it? Like you can use raisin brain to make bran muffins. Okay, I guess I just had to google it correctly: http://www.recipezaar.com/Kashi-Friendly-Fiber-Muffins-62769
Dirtroad
I have put it into mixes like our own trail mix.... you know with raisins, peanuts, M&Ms, etc. I have also let the kids add it to yogurt (like grapenuts)... although they would prefer that I didn't. Never cooked with it but couldn't it work in the place of any granola or grain in a recipe?
Nestof3
Well, I tried the muffin recipe I posted, except I: doubled it used 1 cup white and 1 cup whole wheat flour (freshly ground) 3 tbsp ground flaxseed added nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon
Guest AUBRURNHAIR54
I just finished reading a hillarious post on another site regarding this product. I, too, have purchased it and I am sorry to say, I took a chunk out of the back of a front tooth :/ I was going to hang onto it until winter and use it in place of rocksalt on the sidewalk and thought I would give seaching for a recipe a shot. I am going to share the recipt from the funny gal on the other website with you now. 3 cups Kashi GoLean Crunch, crushed (measure before crushing)1 1/4 cups flour1/2 cup packed brown sugar1/2 cup white sugar1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon1 teaspoon baking powder3/4 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon salt1 egg1/2 cup milk2/3 cup oil1-2 cups coarsely chopped and peeled applescoarse sugar (or just granulated sugar) Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line two 12-muffin tins with paper baking cups. Mix dry ingredients in medium bowl. Mix remaining ingredients except coarse sugar and apples in large bowl. Stir in dry ingredients just until moistened (I left the mixture soaking at this point to soften the Kashi Pebbles while I peeled and chopped the apples). Fold in apples. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups (I scooped it in using a 1/4 cup measuring cup). Sprinkle with coarse sugar. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. ScoutTN
Crunch it up well, in a large ziploc, with a heavy kitchen tool of some kind. Then make it into rice krispie treats?!
