Guest sarathan
Can anyone give me some good recommendations for 1st grade level readers for my son? We're working our way through Bob books right now, but we'll be done soon and I need some ideas for what to have him read after we're done? Any ideas?? Thanks! :) Edited June 15, 2009 by sarathan Just being anal :)

Lovedtodeath
Tops readers from Barnes and Nobles, suggestions from Tanglewood Education. DD didn't like the SL readers. :001_huh:
Shay
I like these: http://www.3rsplus.com/ This will take your child from beginning K to being an independent reader. You can see sample extracts from several books within each set. HTH, Shay

Chris in VA
For right after Bob books, I like the Modern Curriculum Press books (mine are old and laminated!) and the Primary Phonics books.
Guest 4boys
I've used the CLP phonics readers in addition to some of the above suggestions. They were what really helped my oldest take off with his reading when he was 6.
sagira
Ds enjoyed the Step Into Reading series. We used the suggestions by Tanglewood mentioned above (are still using), and we have been pleased. Ds loves the Frog and Toad series. Arnold Lobel is an engaging writer.
