LibraryLover
They aren't additional pages, right?

Veritaserum
The pages you can buy from PHP are only the consumable student worksheets. You still need the workbook because it has the teacher portion with the reading selections and questions and such. I did buy the worksheets to make copying easier, but you could take the workbook to a copy shop and have them unbind the student page portion for you. They can also spiral bind the teacher portion. LibraryLover
Ok, I need coffee...but it's too late. I was going to buy the teacher book and the unbound sheets. But that's not right? What do I need? Why am I making this difficult? :tongue_smilie:
Mom2boys
You do not need to purchase The Complete Writer Instructor text. The workbook can stand alone. It has the teacher and student pages. The Complete Writer Instructor text is more of an explanation and overview - very helpful if you want to create your own copy work and dictation pages, but not necessary if you choose to use their workbooks. Does that make sense? Edited June 12, 2009 by Mom2boys clarity

Samiam
The teacher's book tells you HOW to do the WWE program, but for the most part, you will need to find the books (from a recommended list) and find the passage for the lesson. Also, you will need to come up with the questions for narration, although there is a basic list, but not the exact questions, cuz who knows what passage you picked. The workbook has a Teacher's portion, which includes the passages you are to read to your child, as well as the questions you ask the child to help with narration. The student portion has the copy work preprinted, so the child is to copy that, as well as blank lined pages where the child is to write their own sentence as part of the narration exercise. If you just bought the extra student pages, you are missing a big chunk of the workbook. You will have pages with copy work preprinted, with no background as to where those sentences came from. Then you will have lined pages for the student to write on, again, with no "passage" to pull from. What would be the point of that, then? You should either 1. Buy the WWE book/manual/Teacher book, whatever you want to call it...and then plan on doing the work of finding good passages yourself OR 2. Buy the workbook and just use it, assuming you understand the philosophy behind WWE, cuz it does not introduce to that, just get's right to work with narration, copywork, dictation. The extra student pages are meant for people who have already bought the workbook, used the student pages for the first student. Now they still have the Teacher's portion of the workbook, so they just need the student pages for the next child. hth

Mom2boys
I edited my previous post to make it more clear. You can just buy the workbook and have everything you need, if money is tight. If you can afford to also purchase the Instructor Text, it can be helpful, but is not necessary. :001_smile:
