AnnaG
I'd love to get my ds8 and dd6 learning French, but we don't have time to add another curriculum to our schedule at this point. I was thinking of getting some CDs to play in the car so they can at least get a feel for how the language sounds and learn a little vocabulary. Any suggestions? Thanks! Kim in SouthGa
We have Learn French in the Car. My 10dd loves it, though she mostly listens to it as she cleans her room! We will all be listening to it soon. They were about $20 from Books A Million.
YHZNS
I really like Sara Jordan's cds. They are slow and clear enough that you can actually pick up the phrases quite easily.
amsunshine
Ecoutez, Parlez! We use these in the car all the time -- you can get them at Rainbow Resource. There are workbooks sold separately, but we don't use them. We also like the Adventures of Nicolas CD's by Berlitz -- they come with a little booklet to follow along with the story. Also available at RR. For fun music, we love French Playground.
Suzannah
Well it does look like there are a lot of options out there, doesn't it. I just wanted to throw Pimsleur French in there. We've been using it this year after having to ditch Power Glide because the reading/spelling was so difficult. The stories in Power Glide are great though.
